To keep the users on

Morality and intuition may not be the first thing to think about when talking about User Experience (UX) design. But anyone who develops as a user experience designer:in web applications has to deal with this every day. Cookie banners, as they now exist on almost every website, are a very good example of this: depending on how the buttons are designed, one is motivated to choose the best solution for oneself. The design can manipulate and seduce you to simply click "accept everything" instead of disabling some functions.
"That is why, in addition to communication and intuition, ethics also belong to UX design, because by having an influence on the users with the design, one bears responsibility," says Indra Burkart. She found the game design for UX design. After studying computer science with the focus on game development, she first worked as a game designer.
Burkart wanted to focus even more on the subject of UX design and continued vocational training." At first I thought UX simply means that I design understandable interfaces,"she says. But then I realized how much more of it belongs and how interdisciplinary this field is."Meanwhile, it has its own YouTube channel around the subject of UX design.
In UX design, there are always concrete objectives of the interaction between man and machine: for example, the successfully completed purchase via a website. In part, UX designers therefore need to look closely at people using a website: When do they click on something? Indra Burkart translates her observations and conversations into a program that visually depicts the process. On this basis, software can be developed. Successful communication is central: "You always have to find out if you are talking about the same thing as the customers." So the cliche of the human-shy IT controller does not apply to the UX design. This is where man and his interaction with the machine are central.
Burkart's career path through further education is just one of many. Depending on the task focus, it also works with an education or study. If you are looking for "UX Designers" in job vacancies, you will find jobs for both graduates and graduates.
Programming or design
Florian Winkler, a researcher at the Federal Institute for Vocational Training (BIBB), has accompanied the reorganisation of IT training professions 2020. According to him, training as a "specialist computer with a focus on application development" is best suited to the tasks of a UX designer.
The focus of application development is the programming of IT solutions, which also includes the design and implementation of customer-specific software applications." This is a good basis for moving in this direction, but does not mean that with a completed professional training as a specialist computer for application development you directly find a job as UX designer,"says Winkler. Occupational experience is often crucial.
The tasks in the UX design can be very different in the later working day. Thus, it is not necessarily necessary to develop websites, but it is also possible to collaborate in medical technology in the design of machines that are then operated by doctors or in new car models to ensure that the many screens do not distract from safe driving.
Although Indra Burkart has learned to program in her computer science studies, other tasks determine her daily work: her team at an IT service provider in Hamburg consists of nine people, next to her as UX designer there are, for example, communications designers and technical consultants.(徳囯ASK电容器)
